Afghanistan is one of the most dangerous places children are born in. However, almost 50% of the population is under the age of 15. In the capital of Kabul there are hardly any leisure activities for children. Girls are usually not allowed to take part in any sports.
Skateistan is the first skateboarding school in Afghanistan. Not only do young boys and girls learn how to skateboard, they also learn about tolerance, self-confidence and peaceful coexistence. The training is complemented with computer courses.
